Coaching Cocoon Principle #6

by bevbarnes on November 6, 2012

This is the sixth in a series of tips for people transitioning from their job to their calling.

Coaching Cocoon Principle #6.  Action trumps fear.

You only feel fear/anxiety before you do something, not while you are doing it.

The fear you are feeling is just a really uncomfortable emotion to protect you from the threat of the unknown.  Your fear and anxiety are normal responses in the face of a life change.

Fear diminishes when you do something.

Fear is strongest only there before you do the thing you are afraid of.

Fear tells you that you are going in the direction of your heart’s desire.

When you feel those anxious butterflies in your stomach, consider whether you want lead your life following fear or lead your life by following your heart’s desire.  It’s your choice.
